I ordered the green chicken posole and chicken taquitos appetizer. The posole was so good and tasty. Really enjoyed it. Same with the ducky dose. Freshly made hot and crispy. I loved their green sauce that they gave me. House made. We came on a Saturday night and it wasn't busy at all which I was hoping for. Service was great. No issues whatsoever. Parking can get a little tricky, but like I said, it wasn't busy.
Garlic chicken was amazing! Moist with a crispy skin. Service was amazing and my server was killing it all by himself without neglecting tables. I have to say that for a Monday it was not slow but and even though he was handling the floor by himself, I got excellent service. Sorry I didn't get his name but it was a guy with long hair and a welcoming smile. Thank you!
We like to go here with work friends, it's nearby for most of us...The food is good and the service is quick and friendly. This time I shared a whole roast chicken with mac and cheese, plantains, and Brussel sprouts. The chicken of course was very moist and flavorful. Our hostess ordered 3~4 orders of wings! There is also a Chicken Koop in Alhambra, but I favor this location! Of course, I will be back.
The menu is extensive but it is all chicken. I tried the nachos and the chicken wrap, both were very tasty. I will say that the wrap lacked a little moisture, but I added chipotle sauce and that was an improvement. The server was friendly and our food came out quickly. I love that they were playing hockey on one of their many screens. Go Kings Go!
First time tried, came on Sunday afternoon about 4ish pm. initially for fried chicken waffle. I'll give 4/5 for that. Love the waffle but not a big fan with their fried chicken. The taste pretty bland inside. My kids order the vanilla ice cream & waffle. I tried it and I love it better! The most I love was loaded nacho. Big portion I meant biggggg loaded stuff over there. Generous cheese, and the nacho itself, man, it's remind me of wonton skin? I love it and whole family loooove it!!! It's 10/10! Grill chicken I'll give 3/5, I tried the wing, and pretty dry. I'll comeback for vanilla waffle & loaded nachos for sure
I stopped ordering from this place a few years ago, specifically avoiding the deep-fried chicken sandwich (the original). The chicken they used to fry just didn't taste right--it's hard to explain. But I'm so glad I decided to give them another shot! The chicken now is perfectly cooked, incredibly crispy on the outside, and tender on the inside. It's a major upgrade, and I find myself returning to this restaurant regularly for that delicious sandwich. However, while the garlic fries are a great companion to the sandwich, I do wish they'd serve freshly cooked, extra-crispy fries instead. They would take the experience up a notch. I also decided to try the onion rings, but I was left disappointed--they were bland, oily, and soggy, which was a letdown compared to the rest of the meal.
The chicken sliders with maple flavoring were absolutely delicious--crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Highly recommend this menu item! The tacos, while big and filling, were just okay; I'd probably try something else next time. The hibiscus margaritas were also fantastic--just one glass gave a nice kick. Despite the place being very busy, we didn't have to wait for a table. The servers was friendly and patient. They also have TVs playing sports and a mix of other channels.
Food: great hot chicken with a lot of flavor. The chicken sandwich, sweet and spicy, is a MUST. From there, venture out to try out their other items; tenders, chicken tacos, etc. The spicy is good too, but does have as much flavor as the sweet and spicy in my opinion, even though it is spicier. Won't be as spicy as howlin rays and others in that genre, but it's enough spice for you to scratch that spice itch. Service: surprisingly fast for a hot chicken sit-down restaurant. No complaints. Ambiance: it's a cool small spot, with enough seating and nice lighting. Definitely give this place a try if you are a bit chicken fan, it is now my go-to for hot chicken when I am in the Whittier area.
The location and seating area are nice, there are several tvs and the server gladly put the Dodgers' game at my request. The food was quite good, we sampled their house chicken wings, crispy, flavorful with a tangy sweet sauce, highly recommend. We split the Cuban inspired chicken plate which was white rice, black beans, plantains, and bread, and we opted for the chipotle and garlic sauces. The chicken was moist, flavorful and the beans were tasty; the portion was enough to split. The server was friendly, helpful and attentive. I would return for the food and service, and a cold beer. Their cocktails were not to my preference. The cucumber margarita was a tad sweet for my liking. It reminded me of agua fresca with tequila over ice. I was not a fan of their sugary hard-candy like rim.
